Spring....It is coming!

The class has been waiting and waiting for this exhibit to open at the Magic House.
Our turn finally came and they were so excited to attend. Our trips to Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood were so magical!

Alphabet Books for Uganda
Our class is putting together 3 books that will be taken by Mrs. Katie to Uganda during her Spring trip. They each picked a letter and spent time coloring and coming up with ideas for things that started with their letter to put into our book.

Chapel with Mr. Hartmann
Each of the children left chapel with an eraser from Mr. Hartmann. We learned about how Jesus is like an eraser for us, he erases our sins and bad things away.

 Building, Building, Building
Their ideas are endless. They always come up with such creative ways to use the block and Lego and animals.
The social skills they develop are also endless. They figure out the role they play in their building team. They learn to listen to each other, share, collect ideas, take turns, just to name a few.

Geo-Boards

Unifix Cubes
Unifix cubes are not a building tool, but a math tool. We use them for a variety of things. Recently, we have been using them to measure, count in groups of 10 and 20, and to measure for when we made marble mazes.

Setting up a Pac-Man maze
Using tennis balls that are cut in half, the children created their own maze around the classroom. They worked on their balance skills, team work, measuring math skills, spacial awareness and patience.

More Block Building!

Ash Wednesday Chapel with Pastor Meggers
Pastor Meggers put ashes on our hands and heads as a reminder that Jesus died on the cross for us and for all of our sins.

Making movies with Crayola Animator
Using Crayola Animator the children created their own mini-movies adding sounds, background, and character design and movements.

This team was making their own character movement for their movie.

Blessings on your week!
